Piedmont Academy Gets Great Turnout for First Annual Cougar Paw Crawl

On Sunday, March 14, 2021, Piedmont Academy in Monticello hosted the first annual Cougar Paw Crawl, a 5K road race and a 1 mile fun run, in memory of charter parent and long-time Piedmont supporter Mr. Chick Wilson. The weather was beautiful and there was a great turn-out.

The first overall female finisher for the fun run was Jordan Williams, a Piedmont 2nd grader. The first overall male finisher was Piedmont 9th grader Brodie Hawkins.

Alan Black was the first male 5K finisher followed by Edward Duke and Powell Goolsby. Maggie Friedline, granddaughter of Mr. Chick Wilson, was the women’s first place finisher, followed by Brianna Dalton and Colby Ramsey.

Piedmont Academy would like to take this opportunity to thank all of their volunteers and supporters for making this event such a huge success and they look forward to seeing everyone at the next Cougar Crawl.
