Start the New Year with a Run in the Frosty 5K

Keep your New Year’s resolution to stay fit by running the Frosty 5K on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020. The beginning of the year inspires all of us to dream big and set goals. A great way to stay fit is to set running goals for the New Year. Running the Frosty 5K in January is just the challenge you want to get started.

This scenic race showcases the beauty of the Georgia International Horse Park as participants race past horse arenas, stables, and open fields along with a few rolling hills. If you prefer to walk instead of run, the race is a great way to level up your walking routine. The point is to have fun, enjoy yourself, and prove to yourself that you can do it.

When you register, you will be committed to starting the New Year with a brisk run / walk while supporting a worthy cause! Proceeds from the 5K will benefit Phoenix Pass, Inc. They are a nonprofit transitional housing program for single mothers with children who are experiencing homelessness.

In 2020, Phoenix Pass will host its fourth Frosty 5K. The race is an Official AJC Peachtree Road Race Qualifier. Finish line management and results will be provided by Classic Race Services. In addition, through its partnership with Classic Race Services, the race is part of the 2020 Black Bag Race Series, a point system for runners.

Awards for the Frosty 5K will be given to the Top 3 Best Overall Male and Female runners, Masters Male and Female runners, and 3 deep in standard age group from 10 and under to 75 and over. A Traveling Trophy will be awarded to the team with the most entrants. Awards will be presented on site after the completion of the race.
