Taylor Made Foundation will be hosting its 2nd Annual Once Upon a Prom Dress Drive from October 1, 2019 until February 29, 2020. They are requesting donations of gently used, trendy formal dresses, shoes, handbags, shawls, jewelry, and other accessories. Donations will benefit underprivileged high school girls in the metro Atlanta area.
Donated prom items will be given away at the Once Upon a Prom, Boutique Day of Empowerment Event in March 2020. Registration for Taylor Made Foundation’s Once Upon a Prom program begins October 1, 2019. This is an invitation-only event, and qualified students must be referred by a school guidance counselor, teacher, or religious representative.
Prom is a milestone event in many teenagers’ lives. However, countless numbers of young ladies are unable to afford the high cost of prom items due to their financial situations. Taylor Made Foundation’s Once Upon a Prom program turns dresses into dreams come true when young ladies receive a complete ensemble for prom night, minus the expense.
To donate prom dresses and other items, the Prom Dress Drive will continue through Friday, February 29, 2020. Donations may be dropped off daily from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Newton High School, 1 Ram Way, Covington, GA 30014. All dresses should be no older than three-years-old and should be dry cleaned before donating. If dry cleaning is not possible, please indicate at the time of drop-off. Donations of gift certificates for prom-related services are also accepted to help them create a magical prom night for the young ladies. Donations are tax-deductible.
